My son passed away and I had his funeral at Forest Lawn in Greenwood. The entire process from start to finish was outstanding. Although my son's passing was tragic and sad, the service was a great honor for my son's memory. The funeral director, Missy, was great during the entire process. She cared about every detail. I never met her before I made the arrangements, but I felt as if she was an old friend that cared about me and my family. Another member of the funeral home staff, Kurt, was also very caring. The pastor over the service, Danny Thomas, was incredible. His words were inspiring to all and he honored my son in a way my family and friends will never forget.

Condolence: Charley, you were a good friend and a great mentor for my early career at ILM. I appreciated your wit and especially your rapport with those you had contact during your career at ILM. It was always good times when you were with us at retirees luncheons after our retirements. Many fond memories of you. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Condolence: I met Charlie at Indiana Lumbermens many years ago. He was seldom without a sly smile or a good joke. He was one of a kind - caring, concerned for others and if he could make you laugh it made his day. His love for his family was at his core. Charlie will always have a special place in the hearts of many.

Condolence From: Jim Siener
Condolence: My dad and I were contractors so that's how I met Charlie,doing insurance restoration work for him at ILM. But he saved my bacon one Christmas. I had him make me a stained glass of a "Snowy Owl". He got it finished in time so that I could make an oak frame and get it stained in my shop for a Christmas present for my wife (she's a bird lover). Problem then was I had no where to hang it. So I had to cut a hole in a wall and install a stationary window in a loft so that it would have a place to hang. My wife still loves it.

Charlie had a "dry" sense of humor. Although I hadn't talked to him probably since he made that glass I thought of him often.

I'm sorry to hear he's no longer with us. The world needs more people like Charlie, not less!
