Audrey Patricia Rowe, 88, a resident of Sycamore Lane in Shaftsbury, VT died peacefully with her family by her side on Monday January 15, 2018 at the Center for Living and Rehabilitation following a long illness.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York March 19, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Mildred (Molitor) Luff.

She received her education in Brooklyn, NY

Audrey married Harold R. Rowe on May 28, 1960 in North Babylon, New York

For 20 years Audrey was employed at Graybar Electric in Queens, New York. After moving to Bennington, she worked at WT Grants and later volunteered at the Park McCullough House where she took care of the gardens. She also volunteered at the Bennington Free Library.

Audrey was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, housekeeping and bookkeeping.

Survivors include her husband, Harold R. Rowe of Shaftsbury; two daughters, Deborah A.R. Huether of Bennington and Cheryl A. Rowe of Winchester, N.H.. A grandson, Max Rowe Beebe of Winchester, N.H. A brother, Charles Luff Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Edward Ward, Richard Luff and Robert Luff and two sisters, Eleanor Spada and Winifred Baldessare.

The funeral to celebrate the life of Audrey Patricia Rowe will be held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Sunday January 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.

The burial will take place at the convenience of the family at the family lot at Center Shaftsbury Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Audrey P. Rowe may be made payable to the Capital Campaign Memorial Brick Pathway Program at the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
