Obituary for Joseph Thomas "Joe Brock" Schettino

Joseph T. Schettino, 82, born in Hoboken, NJ and lived in Carlstadt for 44 years, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2018. Beloved husband of Olivia (nee Kellenberger) of 54 years. Loving father of Michele Bracco, and Joseph Schettino and his wife Michele. Cherished grandfather of Julia and Olivia Bracco and Joseph and Jacob Schettino.

Joseph served in the Army as a proud paratrooper. He worked as a longshoreman for 49 years. He loved cooking for his family and friends. He was so proud of his Championship girls softball team, McGee’s Fillies. He also coached baseball and was once the coach of Ralph’s Pizza. Joseph is a Commissioner on the Carlstadt Sewerage Authority. For many years he filled his spare time with his love of harness horses. He was always a generous and kind friend. He will be missed and loved by all knew him. Rest in peace Joe Brock, we love you.

Funeral Service at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Visitation Friday 3-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carlstadt Volunteer Ambulance Corps. or the Carlstadt PBA.
