Lawrence “Bruz” Robinson
August 2, 1919—January 15, 2018

Lawrence “Bruz” Robinson, 98, of Stephenville, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 in Tyler.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Smith Springs Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm Sunday before the service.

Bruz was born on August 2, 1919 in the Lowell Community in Erath County to the late John and Dollie Toler Robinson. He was raised on his parent’s peanut farm in Desdemona. He attended and graduated from Desdemona High School and excelled at track where he was the fastest kid in school. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps flying the B-24 Liberator in WWII. After the war he married the love of his life, Mary Marie Hook on October 15, 1944 in Stephenville and she preceded him in death on December 13, 2001. Bruz was a technical writer for big equipment and for LTV for aircraft bombers before his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Tom Robinson and wife Chris of Chandler, TX; daughter, Kathy Robinson also of Chandler; granddaughter, Karla Robinson-Baker of Brownsboro, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Jewel, Jasmine, Jayden, and Kaitlynn all of Brownsboro.
