Obituary for Judith Ann Hanson (Krueger)
Judith Ann Hanson, 78, of Omro, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 with her family by her side at Mercy Medical Center. Judy was born on May 7, 1939 to the late Harvey and Beatrice (Broderick) Krueger in Oshkosh. Judy owned her own beauty salon on Main Street in Omro for many years. She loved the outdoors, later in life joining an outdoor adventure group and making many new friends. Judy was a very devoted Catholic woman, she did her daily prayer routine and was known for praying for anyone who might need assistance. During her marriage to Lonny Hanson, she gave birth to two devoted daughters. Judy was very devoted to her two girls, Kimi and Tori, as well, often taking them on adventures. The girls remember many fond moments where their mother would pop them into the car and head out on an adventure. Judy had a quick Irish wit, her sense of humor always captivated the room. She was a creative, artistic, hard working mother, and loved her grandchildren dearly.
Judy is survived by her two daughters: Kimi (John) Kelly and Tori (Jeffrey) Seidl, her grandchildren: Paul Kelly, Kiely Kelly, Thomas Kelly, Meggin (Ted) Jennejohn, Bridgette (Luke) Balistrieri, Ryan Seidl, great-grandchildren: Kate Jennejohn, Grant Jennejohn, Vienna Balistrieri, Vito Balistrieri. Judy is also survived by her siblings: Sally Viertel, Patty (Joe) Viertel, Tommy (Nancy) Krueger, Billy (Betty Cutts) Krueger, and Lee (Kathy) Krueger. Judy is also survived by her sister-in-law Linda Krueger, as well as many other family members and friends.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Beatrice (Broderick) Krueger, siblings: Danny Krueger, Jimmy Krueger, and brother-in-law Jerry Viertel.
A memorial Mass for Judy will take place on Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Omro at 11:00 A.M. A time of visitation will take place on Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Mary’s prior to the memorial Mass from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Lunch will be served for those in attendance after Mass.
The family of Judy would like to thank Mary Gruetzmacher for her selfless gift of a kidney that allowed our family 12 extra years of fun and memory making with Judy. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be forwarded to St. Thomas Catholic Church of Poygan, as well as the Omro Food Pantry.
