The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Hawthorne can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Growing Up

It's always that one uncle that's your favorite. Uncle James was truly my favorite. I'm really going to miss hearing him call me Crystal ball. It was always the funniest thing to hear . When I was young I would always ride with him shotgun in the car and he would always make his friends sit in the back . I loved when he told that story. I'm going to miss hearing him remind us of our time picking vegetables in the garden during our summer visits from school. Boy did we use to hate picking vegetables but now it makes for a great story LOL! I'm going to miss him talking about putting a hog on the grill to make the best barbecue. And no matter what he always remembered to call you or your birthday. I'm going to miss getting that call too. Although we wanted you here with us we know that you are no longer suffering. And to know that you're no longer suffering brings us great joy. I'll hold on to the Forever Memories of you. Those happy times are the reason that you will not be forgotten. Until we can meet again, I love you Uncle James! Your Niece, Crystal Hawthorne
