Evelyn “Sam” Arndt, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Providence Hospital in Waco, TX surrounded by her loving family.
Evelyn was born December 18, 1942 in Clarksville, TX to the late Alvin and Katie Emery. While employed, she worked for Aviall, Inc. working on jet engines. After retirement, she moved to Durango, TX where she lived with her husband, Junior Arndt, helping him attend their ranch and enjoying her grandchildren and dogs.
She is survived by her husband; children Cheryl Dyer and husband Dale, JoAnn Leatherwood, Doug Cumbie, Terry Arndt and wife Kelli, Tammie Lewis and husband Kelly; sisters Shirley Pollard and Judy Henson and brothers Alvin Emery and Bobby Emery; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be conducted at Pecan Grove Funeral home at 3124 N. Robinson Dr. in Waco, TX, Friday, January 26, 2018 from 6-8pm. Graveside services will be conducted by John Michalak on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00am at the Cego Cemetery.
