Virginia Mae Gibson, of Indian Mound, TN, passed away surrounded by family in her home on Friday, January 27th, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 at 2pm, at Nave Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Detroit, Michigan to Mr. Lawrence Self and Mrs. Lillie Mae Tanner Self on September the 27th, 1943. She worked for Acme Boot Company for many years. Mrs. Gibson was a long time member of Dover Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Mr. Donny Stavley. Mrs. Gibson leaves behind two daughters; Mrs. Cynthia Welker, and Mrs. Debra Lancaster, as well three brothers and one sister; Mr. Herschel Self, Mr. Bobby Joe Self, Mr. Gene Self, and Mrs. Phyllis Stone. She also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will be accepting friends for visitation at 10:30am on Tuesday, January the 30th, 2018. The service will follow the visitation at 2pm with Bro. Garrett Milligan officiating. Interment will follow at McDonald Cemetery in Tennessee Ridge, Tn. Family and friends will serve as pall bearers. Nave Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services. Navefuneralhomes.com
