Obituary for Ruth Genevieve Schroeder
Ruth G. Schroeder ,87, passed away on January 28, 2018 at her home in Satellite Beach, FL. She was born May 4, 1930 in Westfield Township, Iowa to Gilbert and Pearl Hoven. She moved to Satellite Beach in 1968.
She married John Doerr in 1951 (Divorced) and remarried James Schroeder in 1973. Ruth was an avid seamstress and loved reading.
Ruth is survived by three sons John, Tim and David Doerr; two step sons Ken and Scott Schroeder; and 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband James; sons Tom and Mike Doerr; daughter Deborah Doerr (Mize); and step daughter Lisa Schroeder (Winters).
Everyone is invited to meet on Sunday the 25th at 1pm at 609 Verbenia Drive to celebrate Ruth's life and share memories. We will gather everyone together shortly after 1pm and allow family members and good friends a chance to say a few words if they wish. For those who wish to continue the celebration, we will dedicate the rest of the afternoon to informal family and friends just hanging out.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the South Brevard Sharing Center.
