Evelyn Margaret Horrick (Doherty)
June 5, 1922- February 4, 2018

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother Evelyn Horrick. Devoted wife of William Horrick, predeceased 1993. Precious loving mother of Calvin (Patty), Karen (Brian King) and Donald, predeceased September 2017 (Maureen). Dearest Nana to her five grandchildren Bradley (Heather), Darren (Naomi), Heather (Bjorn), Robin (Amy) and Kristen (Andrew). Beloved great grandmother to Brennan, Gavin, Alice, Edmund and Aedan. Predeceased by her only sister Olive Fraser in 1993. Survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Oja and several nieces and nephews.
Mom was a very loving and giving person. She was a gifted seamstress and knitter and she gave generously of her time and talent, knitting mittens and sweaters to donate to children. Her summers were spent at the camp that she and Dad built together. She loved to be there with her family all around her, enjoying her wonderful cooking and making sweet memories that will be cherished in our hearts for years to come. She had a deep and abiding Christian faith that saw her through many health difficulties over the past five years, never questioning God’s will for her and always accepting of what was to be.
We are forever thankful for the blessing of such a wonderful mother.

Interment in the family plot at the Waters Cemetery.
(Friends may call 5:30 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:30 A.M. Thursday)
