Gertrude S. "Trudy"  Braun (Scofield)
Gertrude S. Braun, a lifelong resident of White Plains, died February 6, 2018 at the age of 99. She was born January 18, 1919 to the late Elizabeth (nee Kiernan) and Frank Scofield.
On April 20, 1940 she married Paul R. Braun at St. John the Evangelist Church. He predeceased her in 2011.
Gertrude was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and is survived by her children; Kathleen (Carl) Bochterle of White Plains and Nancy Tambini of White Plains, her grandchildren Paul (Angela) Bochterle, Heather (Steven) Barry, Laurie (Keith) Burns, Debra Sabater, Marc Tambini and Nicole (Anthony) Tomanelli. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Melanie, Charles, Austin, Devin, Paul, Madison, Chase and Reese. She is predeceased by her son-in-law Dominic Tambini and her brothers, Francis, James, Harold, Lawrence and Raymond Scofield.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, 491 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, (914) 949-7777. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery
