Condolences

Condolence From: Anthony Filauro
Condolence: I am sorry for the loss of Vaughn and for the sorrow it causes the family. In the 60's I was a student in forestry at U.Maine; however I became more acquainted with Vaughn when I was a forester with Great Northern Paper. It's sad to lose those we knew.

Condolence From: Thomas W. Kelly, III, Capt. US Navy
Condolence: Vaughn was an inspirational leader and idol to me during my youth on Wilson Street in Brewer. He was a giant among so many youths in the 40's and early 50's. He will be remembered for years to come. I will never forget how he taught me to "go deep into the hole" to get that ground ball in time to throw the man out at 1st base. My deepest prayers and sympathy to his entire family.

Condolence From: June and Cliff McCormick
Condolence: Our sympathy to your family on your loss. It was June's pleasure to get to know Vaughn during his tenure as program administrator while she was a secretary for some of the Agriculture Specialists. And there was the track and field connection. May your wonderful memories sustain you in the difficult days ahead.

Condolence From: Lisa (Sockbeson) Garrett
Condolence: My condolences for your loss. I was a member of the administrative staff at UMCE when Vaughn was Director. He treated everyone with kindness and fairness. He set high expectations for his staff and higher expectations for himself. He led by example. But what I will remember most about Vaughn is his wit and humor. It was my privilege to work with him.
