Obituary for Leah D. Reiter (Debus)

On February 8th 2018 Leah Debus Reiter joined the love of her life in Gods loving arms. She was born on June 19, 1918, to Phillip and Marie (Gallawa) in Worden, Montana. As a young girl, she would escape sewing and quilting by jumping on her horse and roaming the fields that surround the family farm. She was surrounded by loving brothers and sisters, and the “best parents God put on this earth.” She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters. At a wedding dance she met the love of her life Carl Reiter. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1992. They had one son Allen Wayne Reiter (Carol) and one daughter Lana Reiter Johnson (Alan). To her great joy she had seven grandchildren; Tammy Cosgrove (Shawn), Gina Moore (Mike) and Tifan Crane (Shawn), Christopher Johnson (Erin), Matthew Johnson, Carl Johnson (Jennifer) and Mark Johnson. She was further blessed with 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. One of her favorite things to marvel over was “how did all these blessings come from just two people." Her family was her heart. She loved her nieces and nephews and was always over joyed when she got to see them or talk to them. If she ever thought she had been a little impatience she would always say "I can’t help It my parents spoiled me, my husband spoiled me, my kids spoiled me." We all spoiled her because of strength, her love, her resilience. Dance in Heaven Mom (Nanny) we love you.
Funeral Service 1:00pm Friday, February 16, with viewing prior, at Smith Downtown Chapel. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery.
