Condolence From: Bob Bassett
Condolence: Jim was an Owego boy who carried his family and Owego history and heritage with him every day of his life. In two words...remarkable and memorable. His creative genius and energy carried him far and wide with the small town boy's love of life's simple joys with him always. Many are remembered...but to be remembered with a smile is special. Thanks, Jim, for entertaining us all. My sincere condolences to Jim's family, my cousins, and their extended family. Please keep his joyful spirit alive in your own lives. Jim's Owego friends at the Charles H. Bassett Youth Foundation will celebrate Jim's life and legacy as well.

Condolence: Dear family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time.
I was a nurse and evening supervisor at Englewood hospital and remember Mr. Buffington well.
Wish I had know he and Rita did ice cream in Red Bank, because I live in Rumson and would have visited.
May he rest in peace after all the hard work he did, and may you treasure your memories of him.
Sending warm sympathy hugs and love,
Lynn MacBeth
