Condolence: To the Strangways family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss of such a wonderful person. Our mother, Carol, and Mary's friendship began in childhood and lasted a life time. It is a legacy that transcends generations. So many dear memories of laughter, fun and warmth. Our Dad, Lino, expressed many times how when "the chips were down" Mary and Bill would be there for them without having to ask. Please accept our sincerest condolences.

Condolence: Mary and I were colleagues as French teachers with the North York Board of Education. We shared many teaching experiences as well as a friendship that extended beyond the classroom. I always admired Mary's keen sense of humour, her positive approach to life and her warm, caring personality. My sincere condolences to her family.

Condolence: I am deeply saddened by the news of Mary's passing. I knew her best through my childhood as a family friend. Our families are well connected in many ways. I admired her for her ability to speak more than one language. She was generous with her help in my own quest to learn French. Even though we are a wide distance apart, my heart is with you. Love and hugs from across the country.

Condolence From: Pat Squires
Condolence: Mrs. Strangways will last in my memory as a sweet, generous lady who loved her kids' friends as if they were her own. She and Mr. Strangways always showed so much interest in our lives as we grew up with Anne - remembering the details of our jobs, our families, our dreams and goals in life. We were always welcome in her home and her cottage, where we had many fun times and great meals. Her passing is a shock and a tremendous loss to all who knew her. Deepest condolences from the Squires family to the Strangways family.

Condolence: I will always have warm and wonderful memories of Mrs. Strangways. A good friend of Anne’s since kindergarten meant that I spent a lot of time at the Strangways house over the years. Mrs. Strangways always invited us girls into her home with open arms, warm smiles and lots of yummy food. Mrs. Strangways was an important mother figure to me when growing up. She not only provided love and guidance but she was also a wonderful role model of how a mother could balance a career and busy family. My fondest memories are the smell of her baking, her spectacular flower gardens and watching the peace that she had while sitting back up at her cottage enjoy a good book. You will be missed. Mr. Strangways, Anne, Paul, Chris and Ava my sincere condolences. Rest in peace Mrs. Strangways.
