Obituary for Norma Parks

Norma Clayton Parks
December 19, 1933 – February 12, 2018

Norma Clayton Parks, 84, of Lingleville, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018, in Lingleville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 14th at the Dublin First United Methodist Church with Bill Keele and Ken Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow at Lingleville East End Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Norma was born on December 19, 1933 in Dublin to the late Elmer C. and Kathrine Chatham Clayton. She attended public school in Dublin and graduated from Dublin High School, class of 1952. Norma married Jack Parks on November 5, 1955 in the Bunyan Community.

Norma was active in her church, Dublin First United Methodist teaching Sunday school. She was a member of the Lingleville Friendship Club, American Legion Auxillary, and a life long resident of Erath County. Norma was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Jack; children, Karen Rowe of Stephenville, Robbie Parks of Lingleville, and Alesia Woods of Dublin; grandchildren, Michael, Deric, Khristi, Ashley, Erika, Valarie, Rebecca, Tawnya, and Chantz; several great grandchildren; sister, Kathrine Gilbert of Albuquerque, NM; and sister-in-law, Marie Clayton of Dublin.

Besides her parents, Norma was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie.

The Parks family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Dublin First United Methodist Church or to the charity of donors choice.
