Obituary for Brenda S. Corbett

Brenda S. Corbett
Brenda S. Corbett (Meme) 68, was lifted into the arms of her loving Lord on February 4th, 2018 surrounded by her family after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Brenda was born on April 30th, 1949 in Princeton, the daughter of Phyllis and Carroll Corbett. She was raised in a hardworking, humble home alongside five siblings.

Brenda worked as an administrative secretary for many years at Georgia Pacific and several medical facilities, but her true life’s work and devotion was caring for and giving of herself to her beloved family. Brenda was a gentle soul who exuded kindness and compassion and carried herself with grace. Brenda fiercely loved her family and her special dog Max. She will be remembered for her warm smile, gentle hugs and loving heart. She will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Brenda leaves behind her beloved daughter, friend and caretaker Angela Olsson; son-in-law Mark of Corinth; loving grand daughters Tiffany Batten of Orrington, Stephanie Thompson and husband Steve of Corrina; sister Carolyn Bennett; brother Lloyd Corbett; sisters-in-law Gloria Corbett and Carla Corbett; aunt Edith Sprague and uncle Edward Gillmor; many special nieces and nephews and their families who she loved dearly; honorary family members Christina and Logan True; and three great grandchildren, Lucas, Hunter and Claire who held her heart and lifted her spirits on the hardest days.

Brenda is predeceased by her mother Phyllis and father Carroll, brothers Paul Corbett and Mike Corbett and sister Susan James and multiple extended family members who she held very dear to her heart.

Family and friends will gather for a spring time burial at the cemetery in Dixie (West Princeton), date to be announced. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
