Obituary for David A. Mincarelli

David A.  Mincarelli
David A. Mincarelli, 95, of Rotterdam passed away on Monday February 19, 2018 at the Grand Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Guilderland. Born in Mechanicville, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Raimonda (Franco) Mincarelli.

Dave served his country in the US Army during World War 2. He was employed as a fireman for over 38 years for the Schenectady City Fire Department retiring September 27, 1985.

He was a member of the Rotterdam Elks #2157 and was a past Exalted Ruler for them. Dave was a member of the Rotterdam Senior Citizens and had served as a vice president and sergeant at arms. He was also a past president for the Highbridge Civic Association.

David is predeceased by his wife Jean M. (Close) Mincarelli whom he married September 22, 1951, his daughter Ramona Jackson, his son in law Garri Jackson and his brother in law William Jaycox.

Dave is survived by his loving daughter Noreen Fyvie (David Monty) of Guilderland, his loving son Timothy Mincarelli (Rebecca) of Huntington, CA, his grandchildren and great grandchildren-Jamie Dwojakowski (James Mott) and their child Charlie Jean Mott, Mark Fyvie, Nicole Fyvie, Tracie Bates and her children Henry Arujo, Zachary Bates and Lilly Bates, Lynn Hart (Jared) and their child Kara Hart. He is also survived by his brother in law Michael Close (Joan) and sister in law Patricia Jaycox.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-7PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. All active and non-active members of the Schenectady Fire Department are invited to gather at the funeral home at 6PM to pay their final respects to Dave.

Funeral services for David will be Friday evening at 7PM at the funeral home.

Family and friends are invited to meet on Saturday at 10AM at the Bond Funeral Home to say their good bye to David and follow in procession for his burial with military honors at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
