Barbara M. Strong entered eternal rest on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 6:35am, at Canon Hospice New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 77. Wife of James Strong, Sr.; mother of Dion Strong Stewart(Christopher) and James Strong, Jr. She is survived by her sister Margaret Curtis Allen, grandchildren Darwin Strong(Melissa), Amber Knight, DeChris Strong, Kayla Stewart, Lashonda Strong, Kavonia Strong, and James Jeffrey,12 greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents the late William Curtis and Aline Aubert Curtis.
Relatives, friends, members and deaconesses of King Solomon Baptist Church, St. James Parish School System, St. John the Baptist Parish School System, Cypress Grove High School Class of 1958, NAACP members, Ochsner Medical Center Kenner, Louisiana, Academy Sports, and ADM Grain River System, are invited to attend a Celebration of Life from King Solomon Baptist Church, 2385 N. Courseault Street, Lutcher Louisiana 70071, on Saturday February 24, 2018. Rev. Roddy Scott, Pastor; Rev. Benjamin Scott, officiating. Visitation time 8am to 9:45am with Funeral Service at 10am. Final viewing prior to service time. Interment Western Cemetery, Lutcher, LA. Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E. Airline Hwy, Gramercy, Louisiana has entrusted with her final care.
