William Fredrick  Shafer
William Fredrick Shafer, 76, a resident of Springdale, Arkansas passed from this life on February 20, 2018. He was born on April 29, 1941 in Scott City, Kansas to Carl and Alice (Mallory) Shafer. On May 2, 1963 he married the love of his life, Elaine Dolorse (Lehman) Shafer.

William was a member of Heritage Baptist Church where he enjoyed attending. He was a hard worker and retired from George’s. He was passionate about fishing and garage selling. But most of all, he was a loving husband, son, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.

William is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Franklin Shafer and Alice (Mallory) Shafer; his daughter, Patricia Lynn Shafer; sisters, Louise Huges, Helen Hignite and Thelma Holifield; brothers, Marvin Shafer, Glen Shafer and Jimmy Shafer.
Left to cherish William’s memory are his wife of 53 years, Elaine (Lehman) Shafer; children, William Shafer Jr. and wife Joy, Juanita McLellan and husband John, Thomas Shafer, Rebecca Sigurdson and husband Greg, Elizabeth Stacey and husband Jeremy; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sister in laws, Norma Shafer, Deana Shafer; and many friends.
