Condolence From: Christina Adkins Murray
Condolence: My dearest Gerry, I am so sorry for your loss. John loved you more than life itself and I know you loved him as well. Two years ago I became John's bridge partner in SW Florida where you all visited every winter. I had such a wonderful friendship with both of you and you know that I will miss him, greatly. At our bridge club, he was known as the "Candy Man." When I was able to play and make a difficult bid, he would slide 2 Tootsie Rolls across the table. It always made me smile like a child. Several members of the club would always visit us before the match and John always shared candy from the jar he brought to every game. Thus, the nickname of "Candy Man." I grieve at the loss of such a kind and gentle soul. And I know he is in a better place with no pain, but everyone who was lucky enough to know him will share the loss. Gerry, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope to see you once again, if you make your way to SW Florida in the coming years. Much love, Chris
