Obituary for Shigeko Uno Kelley
Shigeko Uno Kelley, age 88, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Walking Horse Meadows.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2018 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Shigeko was born on May 15, 1929 in Sapporo, Japan. She was married to the late MSG Lonnie Ivison Kelley (Ret, US Army) and enjoyed her role as a supportive and faithful Army wife and a loving mother to her children. She was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church and enjoyed many years of crocheting baby blankets with love for the American Red Cross.
She leaves behind her children, Lonnie Kelley Jr. (Nadia) of Arlington, VA, Shirley Wimmer of Clarksville, and Janet Kelley, Waverly; grandchildren, Lonnie Kelley III, Leila Kelley, Daniel Wimmer, Lindsey Cohen, Andrew Wimmer, Jeremy Kelley; and eight great grandchildren.
