Rev. Fr. Efren B. Nano
Rev. Fr. Efr​en B. Naño, age 60, of Mineola, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018, in Tyler. He was born on October 8, 1957, in Bato, Camarines Sur, Republic of the Philippines, to the late Rodolfa Naño and Bonifacia Buena Naño. He was a retired Roman Catholic priest and had served as pastor of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Mineola from 2005 to 2016.
He is survived by his sister, Ludivina Omagap; nephews, Jo​n​athan and Jovenson Omagap; nieces Je​n​nifer and Jacqueline Omagap and Maca and Wafa Marchan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5396 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773.​ Holy Rosary will follow at 6:00 pm.​
​Requiem ​Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018​,​ at​ the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception 423 S. Broadway Tyler, Texas 75702 at 11:00 am​ with​ Bishop Joseph Strick​land the celebrant​. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler.
In lieu of flowers Father Naño requested donations be made to the ​Building Fund of St. Peter's Catholic Church, 203 Meadowbrook Dr., Mineola, TX 75773.
