It is with great sadness that the family of Giuseppe (Joe) Caputo of Edmonton, AB, announces
his passing on February 26, 2018 at the age of 89 years. He died peacefully surrounded by his family. Left to mourn his loss are his wife of 65 years, Carmela; son, John (Caroline) and their children, Joseph and Loriana; son, Frank (Lori) and their daughter, Chantelle (Michael) Dawson; sister, Gina (Mario) Bruno; brother, Emelio (Luigina) of Italy; sister-in-laws, Antonia of Italy and Shirley of Hinton, AB; brother-in-law, Alfredo of Kamloops, BC; and numerous nieces, nephews and family in Canada, Italy and Argentina; and his caregiver, Janet Esma. He was predeceased by his parents, Giovanni and Rosina; his daughter, Rosina (Rosa); sisters, Giuseppina and Fiorina; brothers, Antonio and Eugenio.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Unit 19 at the Sturgeon Community Hospital for their compassionate care.
Prayer Service Friday, March 2 at 8:00 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue, Edmonton.
Funeral Mass Saturday, March 3 at 9:30 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church.
Reverend George Puramadathil CFIC officiating with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum. In lieu of other tributes, donations in Giuseppe’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association if so desired.
