Every kid in Winnsboro knew Bobbie. He was never too busy to acknowledge a wave from one of us. He would touch two fingers to his temple, almost like a salute and continue on his way with a smile on his face.
I returned to Winnsboro after being gone for 40 years, Bobbie still remembered me. When I would see him we always shared a few words.
The world was a better place because of Bobbie. May he rest in peace.
