Obituary for Cameron Allen Funk
Cameron A. Funk, 19, of Greencastle, died February 28, 2018 as the result of an accident.
Born November 27, 1998, in Chambersburg, he was a son of Daryl A. Jr., and Phyllis A. Oberholzer Funk.
Cameron was a 2017 graduate of James Buchanan High School where he played football for 3 years. He was employed at Mellott Manufacturing of Mercersburg.
Cameron attended Christian Life Church where he was a member of the youth group and participated on a mission trip. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed especially by his girlfriend, Haley Setting, his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Xbox friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Gary and Jenny Keller of Chambersburg, paternal grandparents, Daryl A. Sr., and Linda Funk of Mercersburg, girlfriend, Haley Setting. Cameron was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Linford Oberholzer and his Aunt Annette Oberholzer Fumagalli.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 5, 2018 at 11 AM at Christian Life Church, 1400 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, with Pastor Steve Barnett officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Mercersburg.
No viewing; however, the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Sunday at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Contributions for mission trips may be made to Christian Life Church, 1400 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
