Condolence: Dear John and Family. I was struck down with extreme melancholy when we heard of Jane’s passing. Jane was an inspiration to Camille and I. Both John and Jane thought us so much over the past 20 years. We are happy we were able to share quality time last November and we will always have our memorable times together.

Condolence: The Reid household was a second home through high school and Jane was both a compassionate mothering presence while simultaneously sharing the twinkle in her eye. Jane was the first woman other than my own mother to challenge me (all of us) to think more broadly, to give freely, to pull up our big girl panties. One of my first times holding a tennis racquet was on the Reid court with Jane encouraging from across the net- leading me into a lifetime enjoyment of the sport. Jane and all the Reid girls have led by example- be strong, see no limitations, do what's right. Integrity, compassion, stick-to-it-iveness. Jane leaves a legacy. To you all, I am so sorry for your loss.

Condolence: It is with profound sadness that Gloria and I learned of Jane's passing .
Having taught her eldest daughter Susan way back in 1970-1 at Kinghorn School, I first met Jane ,as a parent. And what a great parent she was. She taught ME as as a teacher to be a parent and I modelled her thinking and directions , these constructs serving as a base for parenting for the rest of my life.
Since 2013, after a reunion of the Kinghorn 'kids' and their attending this event we have visited Jane and John every year ,staying over night on occasion , with two or three of our grandkids with us. It was a highlight for us and our grandkids.Sara was there one time as well.
So fond memories.
We offer our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time to Susan and her family, John , and to the rest of the Reid clan.
May she Rest in Peace.

Condolence: Deepest condolences on the death of Jane who I was fortunate enough to meet when she and John welcomed an unruly band of minstrels called Oasis Vocal Jazz into their lovely Brockville home. Susan Reid was our conduit into this home. I was entranced by the beauty of their land and the dock was so enticing. I never went swimming to my regret, but I remember the wonderful dinner, the walks and great sleep and stories of the family. Jane was a lively vibrant, curious woman and she radiated goodwill and hospitality. I will never forget her. Godspeed Jane.
