Obituary for Norma (LaRae) Diamond Hill

LaRae Diamond Hill, age 71, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018. LaRae was born November 21, 1946 in Ogden, Utah to Vesper and Flora Diamond.

LaRae married Michael Hill on August 8, 1964. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They were blessed with five children: Roni (Chuck) Goodell, Kim Johnson, Heather Anderson, Jackie Hill (deceased), and John Hill. They are the proud grandparents of 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

LaRae loved growing up in the beautiful Hobble Creek Canyon. Fall was one of her favorite times of the year. She never missed an opportunity to drive up the canyon and see the beautiful colored leaves.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings, putting forth her best effort in each one. She loved traveling. She enjoyed many summer campouts with her family. She also enjoyed weekend road trips with her husband. She had many talents and hobbies, including reading, cross stitching, scrapbooking, crocheting, and baking. She loved sharing her baked goods with friends and neighbors. Her pies were legendary! LaRae loved music and played it often. She loved songs from the 50’s and 60’s, and especially loved soundtracks from her favorite movies. She enjoyed many life-long friendships with her high school friends and cousins. She was an excellent homemaker and seamstress. She was very involved in genealogy, spending many hours at the Family History Center.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the CNA’s and nurses who provided care in the facilities where she spent her last years.

Funeral services will be held at the Hidden Valley LDS Chapel, 2379 E. 1100 S. Springville, UT with interment at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 S. 400 E. Springville, UT. Condolences may be shared at LegacyFunerals.com.
