Ignace “Iggy” Michael Roberts, age 58, passed away after a short illness Friday, March 2, 2018. He was born June 7, 1959 in Monroe, Michigan to the late Ignace A. Roberts and Dorothy J. Mercurio Roberts. He graduated from Monroe High School in Monroe, Michigan and later served in the US Army from 1976 through 1979, stationed in Germany. He was employed before retiring at the Coca Cola Foods Division, Leesburg, FL and Ferrell Gas, Monroe, MI and also caretaker of Erie Shooting Club, Erie, MI. He enjoyed hunting, fishing on his pontoon and hanging out with his friends. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Janice Keck Roberts of Ft. McCoy, FL; daughter, Ashley A. Roberts of Tampa, FL; sons, Steven (Colleen) Roberts of Holland, MI, and Adam (Michelle) Roberts of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Shane, Braeden, Lilliana, Kayla, and Zayden; mother, Dorothy Roberts of The Villages, FL; sisters, Rose Shearin of The Villages, FL, Mary (David) Goins of Monroe, MI, Rita (Robert) Reuter of Eustis, FL, Christine (Joseph) Webb of Tazewell, TN, and Rebecca (John) McCollum of LaSalle, MI; brothers, William Roberts of Louisville, KY and John (Cindy) Roberts of Leesburg, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Ignace A. Roberts and his sister, Katherine McNamara.

Visitation and Service

Visitation will be held at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Lady Lake, FL on Friday, March 16. 2018 from 11:00 – 12:00 pm with a Memorial Service following at 12:00 pm.

Interment

Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
