Obituary for Marta Jean Cooper Ulrigg

Marta Jean Cooper Ulrigg
Marta (Marti) Jean Ulrigg, 52 of Missoula passed away at her home Friday, March 2, 2018. She was born on March 11, 1965, in Helena, to Martin “Sonny” Cooper Jr. and Shirley Jean Cooper.

Marti was an amazing woman who loved with all of her heart. Throughout her life she was fiercely independent, yet beautifully delicate and sensitive. Marti’s calling in life was to be a caretaker and provider. She dedicated her life to her only son, and to her residents as a certified nurse’s assistant at Mountain View Care Center in Bozeman for most of her life. Everything that Marti did, she did with all of her heart. She was a survivor, an amazing woman, and she will be unimaginably missed by many.

Survivors include her father, Sonny Cooper, son, Matthew Ulrigg Sr., and wife Morgan, grandchildren, Amanda, Malia, Mariah, Rees, Colten and Matthew Jr., sisters, Tamra Rossing, Terese Seymour, Brenda Cooper, Bonita Meyer (John) and Christine Altmier, friend, Becky Turner, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, March 11, at 1:30 p.m. at the City Life Church of Missoula with Dennis Noyes.

Donations can be made in Marti’s memory with the American foundation for Suicide Prevention at afsp.donordrive.com/campaign/Marta-Ulrigg-Memorial-Fund.
