Obituary for Eugene H. Stonesifer Jr.

Eugene H. Stonesifer Jr.
Eugene H. Stonesifer, Jr., 84 of York, PA died at York Hospital on March 7, 2018. He was the husband of the late Evelyn L. (Grove) Stonesifer.

Born, January 17, 1934 in York, PA, he was the son of the late Isabelle (Heaps) and Eugene H. Stonesifer, Sr.

Eugene retired in 1996 from the York City School District where he was a truck driver responsible for food service distribution to the city schools. He was a member of Girard A.A. and was an active and avid bowler, still bowling two days a week.

Eugene is survived by two sons, Charles M. Stonesifer and his wife Ethel of York, PA and Kenneth A. Stonesifer and his wife Diane of Abbottstown, PA, a daughter, Sherri L. Stonesifer of Sumter, SC, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and a sister, Patricia Hershner of Red Lion. In addition to his wife and parents, Eugene was preceded in death by a son, David E. Stonesifer and a granddaughter, Krista Stonesifer.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York, PA. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to the Four Diamonds Fund, P.O. Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033-0852.
