Obituary for Willi Turner (Jowers)
Willi Jowers Turner went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at the age of 72. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel, 201 Edwards in Merkel.
Willi was born December 22, 1945 in Abilene to Warren and Gladys Jowers. She married Delbert “Debo” Turner on June 15, 1963 in Del Rio, Texas. She loved antique shopping with her sisters and friends, and to watch her sons and grandchildren play sports. She was very community-oriented, and loved her Merkel Badgers.
She is survived by her husband, Delbert, of Merkel; sons James and Mark Turner, both of Merkel; three grandchildren, Dylan Turner, Cheyenne Toliver and husband Kacey of Merkel, and Tanner Turner of Abilene; one great grandson, Karson; her sister, Mozelle Bennie of Potosi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
