Obituary for Dona Marie Buhrow (Oberley)
Dona Marie Buhrow, age 82, of Omro, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 8, 2018. She was born July 1, 1935, to Allen and Lura Oberley in Wales, Wisconsin. Dona married her late husband, Reverend Harvey Buhrow, October 13, 1951, in Wales, Wisconsin. She was active in many churches throughout her life in both Wisconsin and North Dakota, serving as an avid pastor’s wife. She later attended Faith Community Church of Berlin.
Dona worked at Fox River Industries of Berlin for over 20 years. Throughout those years she opened up her home to many handicapped people. She loved to crochet, scrapbook, crafts, and her daily crossword puzzles.
Dona is survived by her children, Roland (Rena) Buhrow, Sheryl Ongstad, Bonnie (Gary) Wolf, and Janice (Tim) Anderson; daughter-in-law, Peggy Buhrow; sisters, Audrey Sieverson, Barbara Kutz, and Janice (Donald) Wakefield; a brother, Eugene (Elaine) Oberley; grandchildren, Shasta (Aaron) Smith, LaShawn (Adam) Ellingson, Heather (Levi) Tovar, Crystal (Chad) Schmaltz, Wade (RhaeAnn) Ongstad, Tari (Andy) Mitzel, Dustin (LeAnn) Wolf, DJ (Erin) Buhrow, Elisabeth Buhrow, Kristin (Bryan) Pokrandt, Brandon Krombos, Jennifer Anderson, Robert (Lexi) Anderson, and Renae Anderson; and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; son, Douglas Buhrow; parents, Allen and Lura; and a brother, Richard Oberley.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave., Omro. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
