Obituary for Lee Harold Winkler

Lee Harold Winkler
Lee H. Winkler, 68, passed away on March 7, 2018. He was born on September 3, 1949 to Harold J. Winkler and Grace A. (Longrie) Winkler in Plymouth, Wisconsin.

Lee attended Oshkosh High School, class of 1968. After graduation he served his country during the Vietnam War (1969-1971).

Lee married Teresa A. Stoinski on September 18, 1976 at (St. Peter’s Church) Most Blessed Sacrament. Lee had various jobs during his years. During high school he worked at 7-Up Bottling Company, working his way up to can line supervisor, after which he was a marine mechanic at Lakeside Marina. Lee always had a love for cars, especially his Corvettes and Camaros. Lee enjoyed working on cars and going to car shows as well as flea markets. He loved tearing things apart and putting them together (hopefully with no extra pieces).

Lee is survived by his wife Teresa, his son Rick and his wife Beth, grandsons Miles and Xavier, sister and brother-in-law Kay and Peter Hansen, brother-in-law David and his wife Nancy Stoinski, nephews Derek Stoinski, Wade and his wife Sara Stoinski, great-nieces Iana, Kali, and Kennedy Stoinski, and his father-in-law Walter Young.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents Grace and Harold, and his mother-in-law Elizabeth “Betty” Young.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Our thanks go out to UW Hospital-Madison’s doctors and nursing staff, as well as Hospice Home for Hope for their superior care and compassion.
