The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Charles Wilson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: paul durand
Condolence: My most sincere condolences to “Chuck’s” family and friends. Chuck was my manager for many years in Detroit. He treated me fairly and was a gentleman. I will maintain positive memories.

Condolence From: Fred Van de Putte
Condolence: I knew Chuck when we were ninth working in the Chicago division of the Postal Inspection Service in the early 70s. A few years later he was my boss in Detroit. We didn't always agree but he was always approachable and willing to hear another point of view. I am saddened to hear of his passing.

Condolence: Chuck and I raced against each other in the same autocross class, and on the odd occasion when I would manage to beat him, he would very graciously say, "There's nobody else I'd rather lose to." We'd laugh and a handshake and it was fantastic! So of course, when he would win the day, I had to tell him, "There's nobody else I'd rather lose to."

And it was very, very true. I'll miss you, Chuck.
