Life Story for Neil Gordon Preston
Left this world for a better place where he will be free from the illness that has slowly taken him from us.
Neil died peacefully at Allendale on Friday, March 9, 2018 with his loving wife of 47 years, Pam (Green), and his three daughters Tara Stampacchia (Julius), Melanie Wallhouse (Derek) and Michelle Barclay (Doug) by his side. Poppa will be forever loved by his four precious grandchildren who were the light of his life; Braden, Sierra, Lexie and Keagan. Neil will be remembered by his sister Margaret Wilson, brother-in-law John Perrott and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Ethel Preston, sister Viola Perrott, brother-in-law Olven Wilson and nephew Donald Perrott.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Milton Place Day Program for the kindness and friendship offered to Neil. We are grateful to Dr. Hunter, the staff at Allendale for making Neil a part of their family for the past two years and especially the staff in Pettit house for showing so much love and support to Neil and his family during Neil’s final days.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street East, Milton 905-878-4452 on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11 am. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Neil to the Willow Foundation (Allendale or Milton Place) would be appreciated by the family.
