Gerald F. Weller, 77, of South Scranton died Sunday March 11, 2018 at Moses Taylor Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Franklin and Theresa Devine Weller. A graduate of Scranton Technical High School, Class of 1958, he proudly served in the Scranton Police Department for over 30 years. After retirement he was employed at the Everhart Museum.
Surviving are son Gerald Weller, South Abington Twp.; daughter Karen Weller, Scranton; sister Judith Dombroski, California; brothers Robert Weller and wife Nancy, Shavertown, Patrick Weller and wife Valerie, Old Forge; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Paul Weller.
A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, 436 Cedar Ave., Scranton. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Friends and family may call Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until service time.
