Obituary for Richard Lee Davis

Richard Lee  Davis
Richard Lee Davis, Sr., 75, of Forsyth, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, March 10, 2018. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Brookhaven Full Gospel Church. Pastor Tim Rozier will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation beginning at noon until service time. Burial will be immediately following in Davis-Rozier family cemetery.
Richard was born January 15, 1943 in Macon to the late Kitchen And Doris Davis. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. Richard worked for the majority of his life as a self-employed Carpenter. He loved to work with his hands and was a master at his trade, he was known as the #1 carpenter in Macon. When Richard wasn’t hard at work, he loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an extremely active member of Brookhaven Full Gospel Church where he was a Deacon. Above everything, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friends to all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 54 years, Margie Rozier Davis. Three children: Richard Lee Davis, Jr., Brian Keith Davis (Paula) and Debbie Wimberly (Richard). Six Grandchildren, and several great grandchildren as well as two siblings, Ronald Davis (Eleanor) and Sandra Vann (Chuck).
