Obituary for Judy Williams (Johnson)

Judy Johnson Williams’ alpha began on August 17, 1961. Born to Earl and Agnes Johnson. Early in life, Judy found out that she needed a rock so decided to make Jesus her choice and was baptized at First Baptist Church, Vacherie, by Rev. Lucien R. Garrett, Sr. Judy was blessed with three children; TerriLynn, Terrence and Javonna. Later in her life, she married her husband, Mr. Randy Williams. Judy worked at Riverlands Nursing Home for years before changing her employment and joining the work force with St. James Parish School System. She enjoyed life with her family and her friends until her health started to fail. She was a loyal and faithful member of First Baptist Church where she served on the Marriage Ministry and Church Choir. She had a good, fun loving spirit which caused all she contacted to love her.
Judy’s omega came on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a loving devoted husband, Randy Williams; her three children TerriLynn Terrence and Javonna, all of Gramercy, LA. Her parents, Earl and Agnes Johnson; brothers Bobby(Cynthia)Johnson, Sr. of Vacherie, LA; Michael and one sister Sarah Johnson, both of Edgard, LA; aunt Yvonne Johnson; her godmother, Ida M. Kindrick, one godson Brian Ray Batiste and her own little princess Alayia Turner. She also leaves her nieces, Da’Jeana M. Johnson and Hillary Howard; nephews Dennis Johnson, Earl Anthony Johnson, Bobby Johnson Jr., Dontell Howard and Da’shaun Johnson. Judy also leaves her very precious five grandchildren, Tray’Shawn Johnson, Jarmaine Mitchell, Jr.; Jeremiah Ashton Johnson, Zuri A’Nae Johnson and Trinity Sani Johnson.
Judy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Earnest Edward Sr. and Adrian Pye Edwards; paternal grandparents Ernest Johnson and Pearl Harris Johnson, aunts Lucrecia Johnson Foster and Gustavia Johnson Williams, uncle Lawrence Johnson, Sr. and her godfather, Warren Pierce.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers in this time of bereavement , with special thanks to Pastor Johnnie B. Magee and the First Baptist Church family, Rev. Wesley Brown and the Highway Baptist Church family, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Horizon Missionary Baptist Church, West St. John High School, St. John Parish Public Works, St. James Parish Hospital, Thibodaux General Hospital, University Hospital, St. Joseph Hospice Care and Gramercy Elementary School.
There will be a Celebration of her Life on Saturday, March 17, 2018 for 11:00am from Highway Baptist Church, 1185 Magnolia Heights St., Vacherie, LA, Rev. Wesley Brown, Pastor. Rev. Johnnie B. Magee, officiating. Visitation 9:00am until service time. Interment First Baptist Church cemetery, Church St., Vacherie, LA. Treasures of Life Funeral Services has been entrusted with her final care. 315 E. Airline Hwy, Gramercy, LA.
