Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Welch
Ms. Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Caldwell Welch, age 53, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at CHS Northeast.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 pm Wednesday, March 21 at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will be held at 6 pm with Rev. Wes Judy officiating. Following the service, the family will continue to visit with friends until 7 pm.
Beth was born May 12, 1964 in Mecklenburg county, a daughter of the late William C. Caldwell and Virginia Smith Caldwell. She was also preceded in death by a brother, David Caldwell.
Beth’s gift of compassion and service led her to a career in nursing. She was employed with CHS Northeast where in 2014, she was named “Nurse of the Year”. She enjoyed crafts, home decorating and baking. She also had a love of animals and was known to take in strays from time to time. Beth went to numerous concerts to see her idol, Barry Manilow. She and her daughters also attended numerous concerts of their favorite boy bands and other pop stars. She will certainly be missed by her girls, family, co-workers and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lauren and Anna Welch of the home; sister, Alice Caldwell; nephew, Matthew Barbee and wife, Amanda; niece, Candice Day and husband, Shayne; and other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Humane Society of Concord and the Greater Cabarrus County, 2010 Wilshire Court, SW, Concord, NC 28025.
