Obituary for Clara R. Kern (Miller)

Clara Kern, 89, passed away March 17, 2018 in Billings.
Clara was born January 24, 1929 the 7th of 8 children to George and Katherine Miller in Worden, Montana. She spent her youth between Ballantine and Laurel.
On February 1, 1947, Clara married Bud Kern in Billings. They started a family soon after and were blessed with 4 children; Danny, Sandra, Linda, and Loretta. She stayed home to raise her children and when they were older she entered the work force. Clara worked for Lewis and Clark Hotel and Hart Albin Company as a clerk and sales.
Upon retirement, Clara and Bud loved to travel as much as they could. After Bud’s death, Clara continued to travel with her family and friends. With all her travels, she loved to get back to Billings to be with her kids and grandkids.
Clara loved to dance and enjoyed going to the Moose where she was a member. Clara and her special friend Walt spent many weekends dancing, playing cards, and having breakfast Sunday mornings at the Moose.
Clara is survived by her son - Danny, daughters - Sandra and Linda (Harley), her sisters - Marion Peterson, and Helen Deines; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and special friend – Walt Seaberger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter - Loretta, sisters - Alvina, Martha, Ester, Frieda, brother - George, and son-in law - Dave.
