Obituary for Miriam Walsh
Miriam Walsh of Taylor, originally from South Scranton passed away Monday March 19, 2018 at home peacefully.
She was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Carroll Kelly. Miriam was preceded in death by the one and only love of her life, William E. Walsh who died on May 17, 1991.
Miriam is survived by two daughters, Peggy Walsh and companion Samuel Hughes, Tunkhannock, and Kelly Halfpenny and husband John, Taylor.
In addition to her daughters she is survived by the two “lights of her life,” her grandsons Bill Halfpenny and companion Rose Farrell, Massachusetts, and Corey Halfpenny and companion Maria Stefano of Taylor.
Miriam was also preceded in death by 3 very special aunts, Grace Newhart, Ruth Cassidy and Theresa Judge whom she cherished. Miriam also had 7 brothers and sisters, Evelyn, Harold, Janice, Lester, Margaret, Linda, and Joe.
Miriam’s family would like to thank the nurses at Allied Hospice and her very special Home Hospice nurse Megan and her special friend and nurse, Donna.
In keeping with Miriam’s wishes, there will be no viewing and the burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care and directions of the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. Scranton.
