Walter N. Wallace, 70 of Seymour, Tennessee passed on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville,

He was born Sunday, July 13, 1947 in Cookeville,the son of the late Walter and Charity (Cook) Wallace.

Born and raised in Cookeville Walter was known as Wally or Sonny by family and friends. As a Vietnam Veteran, he served honorably in the US Navy from January of 67 to October of 1970 on the USS Enterprise. Wally began his federal service career at the Sacramento Army Depot in December 1970 and was a Mechanical and Shelter Repair Sections Supervisor until his early retirement in April of 1993 due to the base closing.After his early retirement, he worked in private industry at AP&R machine shop. His passions were golf, fishing, football and taking man's best friend,Sammy, with him wherever he went. He was a huge fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and the Oakland Raiders football teams.

Wally is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Lori Wallace, two sons Jason and Mark Wallace, three grandchildren, brother Robert and sister Ruth.

Graveside Services for Walter will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
