Mary Jean Workman
Hi Bonnie,
I just read about Gene passing away in the Sanpete Messenger. I am so sorry for your loss. The obituary in the Messenger was very, very nice. It sounds like you and Gene had a wonderful life together, but then I was sure you would when you started dating in school.
It is so hard to have one's marriage interrupted by death; but always remember it is just for a while and then you will be together again and be together forever.
I don't know if you know that I lost a daughter back in 1984 to heart disease and then my husband, Don Reid, in 1987 to leukemia. I married my home teacher here in Sandy, in 1988 and he died November 2, 2017. So, I am alone again and it is hard, but I know the gospel is true and I will be with them again.
I wish you the very best in the time ahead and remind you to take good care of yourself. My heart is with you.
Bonnie, you were always very sweet to me in our growing up years and I want to tell you thank you. I have many pleasant memories of us hanging out together. One memory is not so pleasant. You let me ride your bike one day and I crashed it and split open my head. It occurs to me that I probably damaged your bike and did not even inquire about it. I hope I didn't damage it. If I did I need to find a way to make it right with you. Let me know what I can do.
Take care and I hope I run into you sometime,
