Mary Magdeline Knight Mitchell was born on January 31, 1934 in Kannapolis, North Carolina to the late Frank Knight and Augusta Hardin-Knight both of Kannapolis, North Carolina. Mary was called to rest on Saturday, March 10, 2018.
Mary leaves to cherish her loving memories 11 children Vivian Moore (Frederick C. Moore, Sr.), Curjire Vailes (Wayne Vailes), Reginald Knight, Treva Knight (Joseph Cox), Guy Lando Mitchell (Elnora Miles), Mary Mitchell, Linda Mitchell, Geraldine Mitchell (Jay White) and preceded in death by Mario Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, and Braxton Mitchell. Two sisters, Willie Mae Knight-Floyd (john Floyd Sr., (deceased), Doretha Knight (deceased), one brother, William Knight, Sr.(Mae Knight), four sister-in-laws: Deborah Mitchell, Thelma Loatman, Lillie Mare Mitchell, and Mae Knight, close family and friends, Doris Hunt (cousin), Ezearn Day, Marsha Elow-Wright, Mary Young and Leslie Moore and a host of grandchildren (30), great-grandchildren (31), great, great grandchildren (3), nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1082 Blue Hill Avenue on Saturday March 24th 2018. Wake 10 am & Funeral Service 11 am
