The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Norman Shorey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: As much as I miss Grandpa, I can only imagine how difficult this is for those closest to him. The world seems a little bit colder without him. There are many memories we can hold on to, that will help us through this trying time. I still remember, as a young boy, playing video games with him and thinking how cool my Grandpa was. And even if I am crying now, I will always cherish such happy moments. Until we meet again.

So sorry to read of your dad's passing, Gail. As adult children, saying good-bye to our parents is one of the hardest things we have to do. Your dad will live on through the love he shared and the kindnesses he showed. Let the warm memories of his life comfort you now.

Dear Gail, Barney and Family, Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Although I never met Gail's Dad, I feel that I knew him through all the stories and anecdotes that you lovingly shared with me over time. What came through was his kindness and integrity and how much he meant to you and yours. It was obvious that he loved your family, your visits and the delicious treats you made and brought down from Maine. He must be very proud of you and your outstanding family. I know that you miss him, but have wonderful memories to share so that he will always be with you. Rest in Peace Mr. Shorey.

Condolence: My heart goes out to you my dear Claudia.
May the God of the heavens and creator of this earth console you. A beautiful scripture from the Catholic Bible;
Isaiah 41:10 "do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be alarmed, for I am your God. I give you strength, truly I help you, truly I hold you firm with my saving right hand."
