Eula Azalee  Bridges
Eula Azalee Bridges, age 95, of Scopus, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018, at her residence in Scopus, Missouri.

She was born on October 31, 1922 in Marble Hill, Missouri; daughter of Leo and Lillie Pierce Bollinger. She and Linus L. Bridges Jr. were united in marriage on August 18, 1948. He passed away on June 23, 2015.

Eula was a member of Scopus United Methodist Church, Scopus Better Homemakers Club, Eastern Star, Missouri State Teachers Association, and served as a teacher for 34 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and a friend to many. She will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her son, L.L. “Bud” (Cindy) Bridges III of Scopus, MO; daughters
Lee Ann (Mark) Engelhardt of Lake St. Louis, MO., Donna (Darrell) Lorenz of Festus, MO; brother Clifford (Barbara) Bollinger of Cape Girardeau, MO; sisters Helen Martinson of Camarillo, CA., and Leola Lincoln of Zalma, MO; grandchildren Lee Engelhardt, Diana Engelhardt, Dana Engelhardt, Dustin Lorenz, Devin Lorenz, and Michelle Bridges.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and one sister, Lela Upchurch.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Elijah Allen officiating. Internment will take place in the Cook Cemetery near Scopus, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Scopus United Methodist Church.
