Obituary for Peter Baker Crawford

Peter Crawford died April 10, 2018 due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. He was a longtime resident of the Lake Minnetonka area. He was born February 27, 1939 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Dorothy Elizabeth Wego and Quentin Baker Crawford. He graduated from Central High School and the University of Minnesota with a degree in chemical engineering. He was a member of Chi Psi fraternity. He later received an MBA from Drexel University in Philadelphia.
Peter worked for DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware and W.R. Grace in Clarksville, Maryland before returning to Minnesota. He was a marketing executive at Pako Corporation and National Computer Systems. He ended his career by heading up three new ventures before retiring. Post-retirement he served in an IT consulting role at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia, Minnesota.
Peter was predeceased by his parents, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Jan Stenson, and brother-in-law, John Larson. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy [Stenson]; son, Andrew Crawford (Jeannine); daughter, Sarah Crawford-Parker (Douglas); grandson, Colman Crawford; granddaughter, Isabella Crawford-Parker; sister, Linda Larson; and nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. If so desired, memorial contributions can be made to Mount Olivet Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.
