Taking the kids shopping
Looks like I'm the first story teller on this page! Well, everyone who knows me, including Aunt Mildred, would know that I LOVE to talk and the only way to shut me up is feed me...lol! Anyway, I just wanted to share something. It's not some crazy, wild, entertain-you-all type of story, but just a very pleasant memory. You see, the Myers family was/is a big family. Between Aunt Mildred, Uncle Benny (Rev. Benny T. Myers), and then all the kids, you got to have a fairly big car. Thus, back in the day (1970's), the Myers family owned one particular station wagon that I can remember at the moment. One summer, when the family came down to our farm in Midland, to stay the weekend at Paw Paw's, Aunt Mildred decided to take her son Wesley and I shopping in Concord on a Saturday. So, Uncle Benny at the wheel and Aunt Mildred by his side, Wesley and I got the whole back end of the wagon to ride in. What makes me remember this besides the fact that it is such a fond memory, is that it was summertime and it just so happened that their A/C was on the fritz that day in the car. I remember burning up so bad riding in the car to Concord and back, but I didn't care. I was with people I loved so much. God bless all of you and to you Aunt Mildred and Uncle Benny, see ya'll, Dad, and Paw Paw one bright day in the Lord's House. Your nephew, Brian Voncannon
