The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Denise Zimmerman-Collins can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Alma and Nick Harding

We knew Deni through our dog walks. We all had Standard Schnauzers at the time we met. Deni loved her dog, Coco. We would meet at McDonald Park and walk together early in the summer months. She had visited our house here in Tucson, Az. We dog sat for her and Donald when they left the area on a trip to Hawaii. Deni and I spent some time together going to a music event and the re-opening of the Tucson Museum of Art. We visited the Botanical Gardens and had lovely lunches. I knew that she was starting a battle that would be very difficult. I didn't know we would lose her. We had even made a pact to visit a friend of mine in Colorado after she was done with this battle with cancer. I miss her everyday and didn't know she had lost the fight until I contacted the local Handidog organization. The hospital where she had been undergoing care couldn't release any information to me without her date of birth. I had been in touch with her by emails while she was in Houston, TX. I met Donald at McDonald park when he was taking Coco to the dog park. I don't know how he is doing and hope he is alright. Her phone number is still answered by her voice and the mailbox is full. We miss her and wish her family well. Alma and Nick Harding
